今天的回合由Pelion Ventures(Pelion Ventures)领导,并有来自现有支持者Andreessen Horowitz和Gradient Ventures(GFT,W23,Thayer,DG Daiwa Ventures,美洲狮资本和校友Ventures)等新投资者的参与。

VCs bet $30M on Larridin’s ability to help enterprises demonstrate AI’s value for money
As enterprises ramp up their spending on artificial intelligence tools, it’s only right for senior executives to want to know exactly what they’re getting in return for their costly investments. Larridin Inc., a startup focused on AI adoption measurement, has just raised $30 million in Series A funding to try and provide them with the answers.
Today’s round was led by Pelion Ventures and saw participation from existing backers Andreessen Horowitz and Gradient Ventures, as well as new investors like GFT, W23, Thayer, DG Daiwa Ventures, Cougar Capital and Alumni Ventures. The round brings the company’s total amount raised so far to $47 million.
Larridin’s funding comes at a time when enterprise leaders are facing growing pressure to demonstrate the value they’re getting for their spiralling token consumption costs and application programming interface bills. Shareholders of publicly traded companies especially, are eager to see those investments are driving real growth, and aren’t easily swayed by vanity metrics showcasing adoption without value.
Larridin co-founder and Chief Executive Russ Fradin says this pressure stems from the flawed way in which most organizations evaluate their AI investments. He argues that traditional adoption metrics such as seat licenses and login counts do not reflect the true operational impact of AI. Indeed, one of Larridin’s own customers is a case in point. That organization’s own surveys showed that 92% of its engineers were active AI users, which seems like a good rate of adoption. But when it started using Larridin’s tools to dig deeper, it found that a single engineer accounted for 65% of the company’s entire AI budget.
These aren’t the only kinds of blind spots AI has created. In Larridin’s newly released Engineering AI Impact Report, based on a survey of more than 1,000 developers, it found that while AI-assisted pull requests increased from 35% in April to 62% in September, it didn’t provide much value for enterprises because it simply created bottlenecks further downstream. For instance, organization’s median code review wait times increased more than 50% over the same timeframe.
Fradin says this is why companies cannot just monitor AI output volume. What’s needed is a complete picture that also covers the cost and quality of AI outputs, and the friction it creates.
Larrdin’s goal then is to give companies more visibility into their AI technology with what it says is the industry’s first AI value measurement platform. It links data on AI tool adoption with employee productivity metrics and expenditure data, and also looks at the value generated by, and the cost of autonomous AI agents that do work on behalf of humans. By tracking complete workflows, Larridin can help companies to identify where and how AI is actually driving value and where spend is being wasted. It can also highlight new processes that are ripe for agentic automation.
Such insights can be extremely compelling. In one case, Larridin identified a 66-fold cost discrepancy per shipped code change between two competing AI coding tools that were being used by different employees for similar tasks. The customer was able to cancel its subscription for the much more expensive tool without any impact on productivity.
“Companies must be able to prove tangible business value from skyrocketing AI spend,” Fradin said. “Our investors share that conviction, and our Series A reflects the belief in our technology and its ability to solve this critical challenge.”
Larridin’s customer base includes enterprises such as SurveyMonkey Inc., Vertiv Holdings Co., Kalviyo Inc. and Gainsight Inc., and it’s planning to build on this traction by expanding its go-to-market and engineering teams.
Pelion Ventures’ Jeff Kearl said he’s backing Larridin because it fills a vital gap in enterprise analytics by tying every dollar spent on AI directly to measurable business outcomes. “As AI adoption scales, Larridin empowers executive teams with the intelligence to maximize their return on investment and build a clear path to long-term value creation,” he said.
