Agility
Digit 5 的官方任务清单里写着 depalletizing(拆垛)、machine tending(看机台)、kitting and sequencing(配套与排序)、quality inspection(质检)、palletizing(码垛)—— 是这个品类唯一的 ROI 出路。
Digit 4:
Digit 5
Amazon

Man, Zoo, Smack.
On 5 November 2006, NASDAQ will ring the bell for a company.
Agility Robotics, code AGLT, will be described as the world's first human robot company in the United States with a real commercial deployment.
The adjective looks like a folder.
For every additional sentence, one possible challenge is blocked.
Pure blood, to cut it off from giants with human appearances.
The real business deployment is to cut it off from companies that only show videos.
America is on the market to cut it off from our colleagues who are already on board.
After the triple exclusion, there's not much left.
A total of $7.82 million was recognized throughout 2025.
Corresponding to the $2.5 billion pre-investment valuation, the market rate was over 1,400 times. Of this amount, approximately 63.5 per cent ($1.1319 million) came from related parties and sales to non-relative parties amounted to only $650.1 million.
The trust account contracted from approximately $424 million to approximately $164 million.
On June 24, when the parties signed the contract, the caliber was "assuming that there was no ransom", the trust could contribute approximately 424 million.
By October 30th, the announcement was actually only about 164 million.
SPAC shareholders redeemed more than 60 per cent of their total fund-raising from "over 620 million" to about 465 million.
This was the first time that a smart industry had been pushed into the open market and forced to answer questions that it had never been asked to answer.
Who's this company against?
All the arguments about the commercialization of human robots end up at the same anchor: the hourly cost of machines is compared to the hourly wage of people.
Agility does it himself.
On 6 October, Investor Day, the Chief Financial Officer gave a complete framework.
One Digit lease on RaaS (robots or services) at a monthly cost of approximately $8,500, approximately $102,000 a year, plus a one-time deployment cost of about $25,000.
On a five-year life cycle basis, cumulative income was estimated at $0.5 million.
By contrast, the human cost is approximately $30.5 per hour.
The hourly cost of robots is about 60 percent, 50 percent and even lower.
Human robots have won humans at cost.
Let's look at the data from the Global Voices Flowery Branch site in Georgia.
The site, which came online in mid-2024, was the first fully commercialized human robot deployment worldwide and the first RaaS contract.
By November 2025, Digit 4 had completed the milestone of the cumulative movement of 100,000 swing-boxes at this site, with a mission accuracy rate of approximately 98 per cent.

November 2025 Range 17 months 510 days 100,000 ÷ 510 ≈ 196 days
The output of a skilled warehouseman on a similar movement (retribution box-handling-placement) is usually dozens of volume classes per hour, or hundreds of units per shift.
Even if the entire site output is fully attributed to the machine, the daily output of one site is equivalent to the single-shift workload of only one human worker.
Cost side:
USD 10.2 million/year (20 hours/day x 365 days)
USD 14/effective hours
30.5 USD per hour
The cost is about 46%.
Output side:
If unit time output is human 1/5
Unit output cost = 0.46 x 5 ≈ 2.3 times
If unit time output is human 1/15
Unit output cost = 0.46 x 15 ≈ 6.9 times
In terms of equal workload, Digit's current cost could be two to seven times manual.
This zone is a sensitivity analysis rather than an estimate - because of how many boxes are moved on a single machine every hour, and no company has so far disclosed it.
So how many boxes does a machine carry every hour?
The machine is now too slow.
The biggest client himself said he had not returned.
The CEO of GXO said at the August fiscal conference that the company ran a 45-person robot pilot, "no return on investment in human robots" and that it would be a few years. More than two weeks later, the GXO signed two new sites.
Then, as a rational buyer, why do they keep ordering?
On October 26th, Agility and GXO announced the extension of the cooperation to the North Carolina and Tennessee electric operators ' compliance sites, starting with Digit 4 hardware in early 1997 and moving after the commercialization of Digit 5.
During the same period, GXO also tested the Apollolo and Reflex Robotics human robots of Apptronik in its own facility.
GXO buys tickets to a learning curve.
They know that today's unit economy is not viable, and that it will be cheaper and more capable in two or three years. The aim is to save operational experience, field data and security processes before the curve gets steeper.
Although the customer buys the "future", the supplier must be capable and must survive to that future.
A special sorter is sorted out in one day and is idle when it is finished.
In theory, a human robot can: morning lifts, afternoons, evenings to see the platform, evenings to make a mass check and code.
Digit 5's official list of tasks is written about depaletizing, machining, kitting and security, quality inspection, palletizing - the only ROI way out of this category.
Single-year valid working hours
(Annual calendar hours = 8760 hours)
Known: 65,000 hours at 9 customer facilities as of May 2026
Average single facility value 7,222 hours
Assumptions: Single facility 3-5 x running 1-2 years
~ Average annual working hours per unit 720 – 2,400 hours
Calendar completion rate ≈ 8% – 27%, central hub roughly 15% above and below
Several stations were placed at each site, and the duration of their flight was not disclosed. So we cross-check the external estimate in the public report, "Digit for real pilot or income-generating deployments is dozens."
So just make a quantitative judgment.
But a human robot can work for less than 20 percent of its lifetime in a year.
Thus, the idea of AGLT might be too naive:
The business proposition for human robots is not to replace the wages of how many people, but to fill a machine with a worksheet for one day.
Whoever pulls the number from 15% to 60% first runs through the economy.
The calendar completion rate for a dedicated sorting device can be over 80 per cent.
This is also where two to seven times the unit output cost is low.
At Digit 5 publish, one parameter was identified by a number of reports as being capable of driving backwards: a single recharge was reduced from about four hours in Digit 4 to 90 minutes.
It is a retreat.
But looking at the recharge time together, the conclusion is the opposite -- full of about nine minutes, running from about 2:1 to about 10:1.
A " running + charge " cycle of approximately 99 minutes can be effective for more than 20 hours a day.
Digit 4: 4 hours single, running charge ratio 2:1
• A maximum of 16 working hours per day
Digit 5: Single 90 minutes, charge 9 minutes, margin 10:1 single cycle 99 minutes
~ About 14.5 cycles x 90 minutes ~ 21 hours within 24 hours
A very typical engineering trade-off — sacrifice of a single depth in exchange for full-time density.
The theoretical ceiling for the calendar completion rate was raised from approximately 67 per cent (16/24) to about 88 per cent (21/24), but the ceiling was not equal to the actual value.
The higher the ceiling, the sharper the question of "why is the real value so low" -- because the bottlenecks are no longer on the sustainability level.
The continuation of the voyage is no longer the main contradiction limiting the completion rate of the calendar, and the next round of real competition is in "Mission Control and Autonomy".
300 million dollars for a bet deal.
Digit 5 has locked over $300 million in multi-year orders.
The S-4 declaration is read together with the content of the Investor ' s Day, as follows:
- A customer from a single, undisclosed name who is clearly described by S-4 as an associated party.
- About 1,000 Digit 5, in the form of a three-year RaaS contract, with a four-year spread of service.
- For each customer, Agility will be required to issue 453 ordinary shareholding certificates, for a total of 453,000 copies, which will be attributed as the robot actually deploys.
- Robots need to be able to implement certain examples, each of which is to unlock a new batch of robots. Targets for each case must be agreed on a client-by-client basis.
- The company is still assessing the accounting treatment of the transaction and the final transaction price has not been confirmed.
- The registration document, Digit 5, was launched at the end of 2002.
- The investor day was changed to the early customer's acquisition of the machine in the first half of 1997 and the general supply was to be made by the end of 1997 or even the beginning of 2002.
Six articles are listed together and are in fact a conditional contract: a ceiling of 300 million, divided into four years, unlocked according to capacity and with equity returns.
The fact that the customer is the related party means that it is presumably a shareholder or a party with close ties to the shareholder.
Clients take orders and take an equity card.
This client is the stock dealer of Agility and is paid in part for the value of the equity.
If a portion of the payment is deemed to be a sales incentive related to the equity arrangement, rather than an independent price, it may need to be deducted from, rather than included in, income.
Three hundred million dollars of "income in gold" and another discount.
Note: This is only a reading of the structure of the public disclosure clause. S-4 has itself indicated that the company is "availing of the accounting treatment of the transaction" and that the final qualification should be based on the company's subsequent disclosure. There is no motive-level judgement for either party here, but it is noted that income recognition is a matter of inquiry.
Agility faces a situation where the client (GXO) publicly claims that he has not returned to his home, that he only confirmed his income in 2025 at US$ 1.78 million, and that its capacity to commit to products (to fence, multitasking) has not yet been verified on a large scale.
If it's a hard contract "1,000, three years, unconditional delivery" then once Digit 5 fails to reach a certain custom-based swallowing target, the risk of default, the risk of refunds, the risk of reputation will hit itself at the same time.
And the use of custom locks is a structural transfer of risk to time.
Do it, unlock the next batch, and income increases naturally and customers are satisfied.
Failure to do so does not release the lock, does not require delivery of machinery beyond capacity, does not produce refunds and impairments, but is a slower income.
The customer buys the right to split up according to each other's actual ability, and Agility sells a growth path that does not kill itself.
For the industry as a whole, this is a new contractual paradigm worth studying.
In the past, the robotics industry had entered into purely trade contracts and the risks were in the buyer.
The contract of "capability" is now being signed, and the risk is being cut thin and shared over the years.
The industry has finally begun to manage uncertainty using contractual instruments.
Raas turned AGLT into a leasing company.
Raas is the key to understanding Agility and the starting point for understanding its risk exposure.
On Investor Day, Chief Financial Officer Michael Beer spread the single-machine economic model:
Digit single five-year economic model (CFO disclosure, product calibre)
- Income side: RaaS monthly fee of approximately $8,500 (10$ 102,000/year) + approximately $255,000 deployment cost, cumulative over five years of approximately $0.5 million (S-4 calibre of approximately $535 million)
- Cost side: material 150,000 + deployment of approximately 15,000 + software and maintenance approximately 15 000/year x 5 years = cumulative five years approximately $240,000
- Product Māori rate: about 50 per cent in the initial period and about 1.5 years for hardware
- Size effect: 1,000 per year, 70 per cent; < 1 year; < 75 per cent; < 6 months
- Material cost curve: Digit 4 is currently about 125,000 → Digit 5 Z commercial publish is about 150,000 Z (more expensive) Z 7. 7. 7. 1000 1000 1000 1000 Z Z Z
- Three levers down: self-study line implementer redesign (approximately 25% of BOM), standard package supply chain cooperation, volume steps discount (approximately 20% reduction)
- Excludes: company-level costs. The CFO model assumes that $115 million will be developed and $6.0 million sold and managed in 2026.
There are two detailed questions:
Digit 5 is more expensive than Digit 4.
From 12.5 to 150,000.
The reason for this is that the additional sensors and security computing units make it more and more heavy, and safety is costly.
They have a "product caliber", not a corporate caliber.
They have withheld materials, deployed, maintained, but not developed, sold, managed.
The combined figure for 2026 was $175 million, corresponding to the income of $17.8 million in 2025.
The difference is nearly 1,000 times.
In RaaS mode, the robot stays on Agility's own balance sheet.
Clients don't buy, Agility has to pay to build the machine and then slowly collect the rent.
The CFO made it clear that the fleet deployed needed to be financed separately, that the target was debt financing at less than 10 per cent and that "access to the debt capital market" was one of the reasons for listing.
At $150,000 BOM, the hardware cost of laying 1,000 units is $150 million.
Together with deployments, on-site services, remote operating centres, spare parts and maintenance systems, the total amount raised this time, approximately $465 million, is likely to be more than half eaten by the 1,000.
This money is a purely life-saving function, and it is sustained by the continued openness of capital markets.
Both management and the auditing agency Grant Thornton advised that, without taking into account the consolidated financing, there were serious doubts about the company ' s ability to continue operating properly within the year after the financial report publish.
So is the $2.5 billion valuation expensive?
The CFO presents an installed scenario of 2,500 equivalent annual revenues of approximately $250 million and 10,000 equivalent annual revenues of about $1 billion.
He added, however, a qualification - "no delivery date attached".
So, the $2.5 billion valuation is expensive, depending on which calibre the market chooses:
- By AI/Software company calibre (market sales rate): In 10,000 scenarios for billions of dollars of income, $2.5 billion is only equivalent to about 2.5 times the far-off PS — cheap.
- The size of the equipment leasing company (deficit capacity + asset liability structure): heavy assets, negative Maori start-up, reliance on external debt financing, single machine return from 1.5 — expensive.
This caliber contest will determine directly the valuation models of all the companies that line up in the back.
If the market eventually accepts the "AI" caliber, then all smart companies' forward earnings can be prediscounted.
If the market forces the "rent company" calibration, then all Raas-based companies have to rerun their balance sheets.
It's not just about an American robot company.
Two personnel signals.
In addition to the financial figures, there are two signals.
Signal one: Amazon may have escaped.
Amazon had invested in Age through the Industriation Fund in 2022 and conducted multiple rounds of Digit testing in his own warehouse, which was the name of all the articles that introduced it.
However, according to media combing of SEC materials, Amazon was no longer on the list of active commercial deployment clients in Agility as of June 2026, prior to which the pilot had been completed.
The response from Agility was "many pilots have been completed" and expressed the hope that cooperation would continue after the launch of Digit 5.
Amazon is the world's largest and most knowledgeable owner of storage automation.
Not without money, not without scenes or engineering.
They tried for four years and then they stopped.
The SEC material still includes Amazon as a case of deployment or client, and the public information is not sufficient to determine the current state of the parties, nor can it be used to launch Amazon waiting for the next generation of products.
It is noted that the name remains, but the status of deployment has changed.
For Amazon, the best solution may not be human at all, in a warehouse where it itself is highly optimized.
Amazon's warehouse has been re-engineered to optimize the synergy of human aircraft — shelves, operating lines, workstations, conveyor belts, all of which have been re-engineered on an automated basis.
In this environment, the efficiency advantages of specialized equipment are magnified and the general utility advantages of the human form are reduced.
By the way, a very important strategic judgement emerges:
The value density of human-shaped robots is inversely proportional to "the degree of human design in the field" and to "the degree of machine optimization in the field".
There is a direct meaning to the customer strategy of all players: don't eat the scenes that are already being eaten automatically.
Signal two: Fuscon's in.
Fuscon (Honghai) has invested about $200 million in PIPE and sent the head of the central strategic investment department to attend Investor Day on 6 October.
But they are also shareholders, potential substitutes and potential customers.
What's Fuscon betting on?
I don't think Agility will win, but it's, "Someone must win, and the winner needs me to make it."
It's typical chain-to-link logic, with certainty in the manufacturing chain itself. I'm sorry. Either Figure, Agility or whoever wins, the mass of human robots will sooner or later fall into a proxy system with sophisticated manufacturing and cost control capabilities.
But for Agility, they are handing over the most valuable to a partner who is both a shareholder and a potential rival.
Once Fuscon has mastered the mass process of human robots, the vertical integration barrier of Agility will be diluted.
And one of Agility's currently declared core strengths is the self-built indigenous American manufacturing asset.
Political pricing overrides cost pricing
Digit has nearly 6000 parts, of which about 75% are supplied by local suppliers in the United States, assembled at the RoboFab plant in Salem, Oregon, and designed to produce the highest 10,000 units per year.
It is a bad news in manufacturing common sense.
Local procurement means abandoning global cost lows, especially Asian supply chains that are already highly clustered on electric power, speed-reducing devices, batteries and structural components.
Digit 5 Commercial publish hour single-desk material costs approximately US$ 150,000, while the same full-sized double-foot robot, the Uzuki flagship H1, is valued at less than US$ 90,000.
But in the United States market in 2026, the bad news made the company a model for American manufacturing to avoid being stuck in the neck.
On 28 July 2026, the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) publish DA26-786 announced the inclusion of "foreignly produced advanced robotic equipment" on the control list, explicitly covering humans and four-foot robots with environmental awareness, autonomous barriers, AI computing and network connectivity.
In principle, listed equipment cannot be authorized to access the United States market for FCC equipment.
It was further noted that the new regulation was based on the ratio of the value of the production site to the value of the aesthetic parts, requiring the local component of the end product to be more than 65 per cent and increasing to 70 per cent by 2029.
Note: "The proportion of indigenous components 65/70%" is the analysis of the policy by the local government, which is not directly expressed in the original FCC and is based on the FCC official text.
Meanwhile, industry data on the Chinese side are as follows:
According to publish, published at the World Robotic Congress 2026, China accounted for about 90 per cent of global human robots in 2025, with a product model of over 330.
According to the United States Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) in July 2026, United States companies accounted for less than 5 per cent of human robots in 2025.
In the United States, by administrative means, a protected demand pool was created in a highly backward industry.
As a result, a significant portion of the $2.5 billion pre-investment valuation is not the technology premium, but rather the scarcity of "the only true blood mark in the United States mainland".
CEO Peggy Johnson made it clear in his interview that the FCC ban was not a problem for Agility, but was conducive to its market expansion.
A company has taken the initiative of presenting regulatory barriers as a competitive advantage, indicating that it also knows where value comes from.
One of the expressions that has been repeatedly highlighted in this transaction is that of the United States' only publicly listed, commercially active, pure robotic company.
It's AGLT's biggest single-point risk, much greater than a technical risk.
Once the policy environment is relaxed or physically bypassed, for example, by third-country assembly, the scarcity evaporates instantaneously, which we do not see in the statements.
Two temperatures on both sides of the Pacific Ocean.
Bringing shot back to China is in sharp contrast to the capital temperature of the smart track for a week.
- Woo Tree Technology.
On 19 August 1996, the Board of Directors (688836.SH) issued 150.80 yuan/equity at a market value of about $60,993 million and raised approximately $6,099 million, while in 2023-2025 it collected 159 million, $392 million, $1.708 million and net profits of $288 million in 2025.
- Intellectual innovation:
According to the Financial Notes, a new round of financing of approximately $1.0 billion to $1.5 billion was recently launched, with an estimate of about $50 billion; pre-market financing, which is completed after submission, will require 120 days to be put on board, with little hope for the year. Officially, Ji-won announced that in 2025 it was about $1,500 million.
- A few billion intellectuals:
The Hong Kong Unit was scheduled to be boarded on 28 October, and the announcement on 25 October delayed global sales and refunded the requisition in full.
Only one capital investor was introduced this time, subscribing to about HK$ 15.7 million. According to market statistics, in the third quarter of 1996, the IPO penetration rate for port units was 45.2 per cent, an annual average of 21.9 per cent.
- In addition, according to media reports, the regulatory level has given informal "window guidance" to some investment banks and institutions, raising the IPO approval threshold for human robotic enterprises and paying more attention to the authenticity and sustainability of purchase orders. (This statement has not been officially confirmed by any official authorities and is reproduced in the media and is presented here only as a background note and not as a factual argument.
Agility goes to SPAC, anchors paid customers and pipelines already deployed.
The SPAC mechanism makes it unnecessary to spread the income structure, the Māori rate, and the concentration of clients in the sun, as is traditional IPO.
Chinese companies follow traditional IPOs and anchor their income structure and sustainability.
How many related transactions are in the revenue? How many sustainable repurchases? What is the share of scientific procurement and government orders? Can Māori rates improve with scale?
These questions are difficult to answer at the present stage of the industry.
And this difference reveals a conclusion that all Chinese colleagues have formed:
Once in the open market, narrative authority is shifted from progress indicators to "structural indicators".
Level I markets can be used for hours of work and boxes, but not for ongoing disclosure requirements in secondary markets.
Should Chinese policy makers only watch?
First thing to do.
Now switch the internal KPI from the number of delivery stations to the ratio of "one annual effective working time x unit output cost".
The number of tables is the most easily watered indicator.
Related party procurement, scientific procurement, government projects, demonstration leases can all take up the number but do not reflect any economic nature.
Effective working hours and single-gunning are questions for the future, regardless of where they are financed or listed.
The best thing to learn about Agility is not its technology, but an indicator like "65,000 hours / 100,000 boxes" -- traceable or reused, with an incremental slope per quarter.
This is an extremely smart disclosure design: to replace self-proven economics with self-proven progress.
And the Chinese counterparts' disclosures are generally too rough.
More than 100 demonstration videos would be persuasive if a single daily operational time and a single daily mission were given in external communication.
II. Centralizing the multi-skill reuse rate
Human form is the only ROI way out is a multipower.
There should then be a clear indicator within the enterprise to measure the distribution of the different types of tasks actually performed by the same machine over a period of one year.
Directly corresponds to the calendar filling rate and direct to the client why the premium should be paid for generality.
Draws the single-machine calendar fill rate from the current low to 50 per cent, running through the economy.
III. DEFINITION OF SECURITY STANDARDS
Scheffler field engineer said on Investor Day that due to the lack of ISO safety standards, we would have to fence around any deployed human robot.
She added that the use of examples that would block access or access to equipment was excluded.
In one sentence, it took out the core selling point of Digit 5 "Going to the Fence."
To go to the fence is equivalent to cost and deployment of friction.
The fence itself is for money and the space it occupies is for money, and even more so is a direct loss that cannot be used because of the fence.
So the safety standards are the largest single reduction lever in the industry today, more direct than dropping BOM from 150,000 to 30,000.
The status quo is that ISO/CD 25785-1 (International safety standards for human robots) is still at the stage of the Committee ' s draft.
Agility is participating in the development of the ANSI/A3 TRR15.108 technical report and ISO 25785-1.
In Chicago, on 22 June 2026, the General Assembly publish, Agility was the first publish partner to adopt the IGX Thor and Haros Core structures.
The standard is being written, and who writes the standard is the person who will define market access for the next decade.
The Chinese player's sense of presence at the standard-setting stage is highly incompatible with his or her approximately 90 per cent volume.
In the future, it will become a more difficult threshold than tariffs.
iv. Think clearly about the separation between the two.
The United States, with its manpower and policy protection at the moment, is better placed to use robots first.
China ' s strong supply chain and low manufacturing costs are better suited to build robots first, and this division of labour will not change for a long time.
But we must be wary of a cognitive error: do not use the advantage of being created to tell stories.
The ability to build human robots in large quantities at low cost, and the ability to use them for positive ROI in a specific scenario, are two completely different capabilities that require a completely different organization.
After November 5, it's a sign of adulthood.
After November 5th, the market did not just price Agility.
It'll be the reference system for all the line companies in the back.
The Figure AI valuation, which was reported by the media to be approximately $39 billion in volume scales, and the Apptronik A round, which cumulatively is said to exceed $935 million, and the valuation of approximately $5 billion, were only in the past.
Once the real finances of a company are made public, the valuation of the owner is re-corrected.
Until then, what we saw was progress, not results.
